ROYNON DEAL REJECTED

Peterborough have been forced to release British youngster Adam Roynon from their 2010 side, after the BSPA ruled he was ineligible to double-up in the Elite League.

The 21-year-old spent last term on the sidelines after breaking his neck in a Team Great Britain training camp prior to the start of the campaign.

This meant he did not obtain a Premier League average in 2009, which means he is unable to double-up between the second tier and the top flight this season.

Panthers co-promoter Peter Oakes told the club’s official website: “We feel it would be inappropriate to comment on the decision at the moment. We will pursue every possible avenue to have it reversed.”
