LEIGH ADAMS, along with Tomasz Gollob, rates as the best Grand Prix rider never to have won the World Championship. Second in 2007, he has slipped back down the rankings to sixth and admits he contemplated retirement. But Adams knows that he still has the ability to realise his dream on claiming the World title and just needs to rediscover the consistency that went missing last year. Won the FIM European Grand Prix in Leszno and was victorious for a second time in Mallila but failed to progress from the semi-finals too often to seriously trouble Nicki Pedersen at the top of the leaderboard.
