SCOTT NICHOLLS is the reigning British Champion but missed out on automatic qualification for the 2009 SGP series by four points having finished eighth 12 months earlier. Awarded one of the four seeded places, Nicholls is still chasing his first Grand Prix victory after 68 appearances. Twice made the final in 2008 without finishing on the rostrum. Has been working hard during the winter on his personal fitness and is determined to mount a strong challenge in the months ahead.
