- The first FIM British Speedway Grand Prix held at the Millennium Stadium took place on 09 June 2001.
- Only one British rider out of the 16 who have ridden at the Millennium Stadium has won the Grand Prix in Cardiff – Chris Harris in 2007.
- He became only the second British rider to win the FIM British Grand Prix after Martin Dugard, as Wild Card, won the 2000 event at Coventry, ironically watched by a 17 year old, Chris Harris.

We have once again been working with the Millennium Stadium, Cardiff Hoteliers’ Association and Cardiff Convention Bureau to secure accommodation for the 2015 event at competitive rates. As a result, 1,000 bed spaces have been secured once again for true Speedway fans. The discounted rates are available on the Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights with no minimum stay requirement. These rooms are on a first come first served basis and the maximum amount of bedrooms that can be booked in one transaction is 3 for up to 12 people (including children).
In order to secure your discounted rate accommodation you must first purchase a ticket for the 2015 British FIM Speedway Grand Prix and will then be sent a link in your confirmation email taking you to the booking site.
