BOMBER IN MEDAL HUNT

Saturday 28th April 2012, 08:04
British rider Chris Harris says he still has time to realise his World Championship medal dream as he lines up in the FIM Fogo European SGP in Leszno tonight.
The Coventry man scored five points in the opening round of the season in New Zealand on March 31, leaving him just three off the top eight with 11 rounds to go.
But Bomber isn’t just in the competition to secure qualification for next year – he is keen to push for the big prizes.
"Me and the boys are willing to keep the fight going and put the hours and work into it. Anything is possible."

He said: “We’re still looking at a podium finish. There’s a long way to go and a lot of hard work ahead of us. Me and the boys are willing to keep the fight going and put the hours and work into it. Anything is possible.”
Harris has invested over £20,000 in his bikes lately in a bid to cure his early-season struggle for speed. Bomber was happy with the results during Friday’s practice session in Leszno.
He added: “I felt really good out there. I felt I had a bit of speed, so that’s a good thing. I haven’t been feeling fast, but now I feel I’ve got that pace and hopefully I can do something tonight.
“You always feel fast when you’re on your own practising, but after watching other riders and their lines, I feel confident. Hopefully I can get a lot of points in the bag.
“I think it’s a fantastic race track and I’ve reached a semi-final here before, so I’m looking forward to it.”
