KK ON COURSE FOR POOLE

Polish international Krzysztof Kasprzak is set for a shock U-turn after agreeing to race for the Poole Pirates from next month, despite rejecting their advances a fortnight ago.
The Leszno-born rider is yet to pen the deal, but club owner Matt Ford expects to announce Kasprzak’s return during Poole’s meeting with Birmingham at Wimborne Road tonight.
When Torun star Adrian Miedzinski opted against extending his short-term contract, KK was the instant favourite to replace him.
The Pirates asset came to a deal with club owner Matt Ford, but opted against completing the agreement in order to focus on his SGP qualification campaign.
With KK set for the semi-finals on June 30, he would not have another qualifying meeting after that until September 29, assuming he made it through to the GP Challenge at Gorican.
Ford is confident of completing the deal and believes offering the rider more meetings will help the Gorzow and Valsarna man hit the level he needs to become a full-time SGP rider for the first time since 2008.
"Having had time to consider the situation he recognises that the more riding opportunities he can get, the better it will be for him, and it seems that he has accepted my offer."

He told the club’s official website: "I am delighted that the extended talks have concluded in a positive agreement for us, with Krzysztof confirming that he will be available from July.
“He is keen to continue his drive towards the Grand Prix and made that abundantly clear from the start of our discussions, while admitting that he would relish the chance to come back to Poole.

“All I need now is for the contract to be returned signed which I believe will happen later today. With a rider of his quality, Poole too will benefit and I believe that he will be a seamless replacement for Adrian (Miedzinski) who did such a great job for us."
Pirates have been denied a guest facility for Miedzinski for their meetings with Birmingham tonight and Wolves on Monday. As a result, Todd Kurtz will cover for him.
Davey Watt guests for the injured Darcy Ward against the Brummies, while Chris Harris covers at Monmore Green.
