World Championship leader Greg Hancock faces a baptism of fire as he meets nearest rival Jason Crump in heat three of the FIM Gorzow SGP of Poland on Saturday.

Crump, who trails Herbie by just two points in the race for the title, will know a victory over the Californian could make a massive difference to his hopes of lifting title No.4 in Torun this October.

Australian champion Chris Holder, who is currently fourth in the standings, lines up alongside them, and Russian hotshot Emil Sayfutdinov completes the quartet.

Polish legend Tomasz Gollob is set for a mammoth test when he collides with his old Gorzow team mate Nicki Pedersen in heat 16.

The World Championship contenders are joined by world champion Hancock – winner of the first ever Gorzow round last season – and Swedish star Antonio Lindback.

Danish fans will look out for heat four, which sees Nicki Pedersen clash with Bjarne Pedersen and Hans Andersen, as well as world No.2 Andreas Jonsson.

The opening race will have a strong Swedish look as Freddie Lindgren, who is seeking to reach his third final on the bounce, tackles Lindback and Peter Ljung. Sayfutdinov joins them.

SGP series reserve Martin Vaculik, who is covering for the injured Jaroslaw Hampel, tackles 2010 world champion Gollob in his maiden Grand Prix race in heat two. Danish racer Kenneth Bjerre and wild card Bartosz Zmarzlik will be alongside them.
