World Championship leader Greg Hancock faces a major test of his title credentials when he collides with nearest rivals Chris Holder and Nicki Pedersen in heat 16 of the FIM Scandinavian SGP on Saturday.

The Californian, who has 118 points, lines up in yellow. Meanwhile Holder, who is a solitary point behind him, starts from the white gate. Pedersen, who is third on 112, is in red and seventh-placed local hero Freddie Lindgren dons the blue helmet.

With just six points separating the top three, this race looks set to have a huge bearing on who comes out on top in one of the tightest ever SGP titles races.

Hancock also faces a serious examination in race four, when he jumps from gate one with returning Polish star Jaroslaw Hampel alongside him in blue.

The world No.3 has missed the past four rounds after breaking his leg in the FIM Dansk Metal Danish SGP in Copenhagen on June 9. But he bagged a massive 20 paid 21 points for Danish club Outrup away to league leaders Esbjerg on Wednesday in his first meeting back.

Hampel’s compatriot Tomasz Gollob takes to the track in white, while Malilla master Andreas Jonsson is in yellow.

Fourth-placed Jason Crump starts his night in heat one against fellow Aussie star Holder. They are joined by Emil Sayfutdinov and Bjarne Pedersen.

Lindgren, who won the FIM Swedish SGP in Gothenburg on May 28, launches his attempt for a second Grand Prix win in his homeland in race two. He meets former Dackarna favourite Hans Andersen, wild card Tomas H Jonasson and Slovak sensation Martin Vaculik, who covers for the injured Kenneth Bjerre.

Nicki Pedersen gets his meeting underway in race three against Antonio Lindback, who has reached the last two SGP finals – the first time he has made back-to-back last four appearances since 2006. They compete with Chris Harris and Peter Ljung.
