VOTE FOR CHRIS

Tuesday 30th October 2012, 15:01
World champion Chris Holder has been nominated for the prestigious FIM Personality of the Year prize – and your votes could help him win.
The 25-year-old joins world champions from the FIM’s other motorcycle codes on the shortlist after winning speedway’s biggest prize in Torun on October 6.
Holder won SGP rounds in Leszno and Cardiff on his way to the title and also scooped his fourth Australian Championship and a maiden Elite League Riders crown in a blistering 2012 season.
He is currently awaiting surgery to repair a broken leg, and claiming the FIM’s top award at their Gala Ceremony in Monaco on December 2 would certainly ease his pain.
FIM Speedway Under-21 World Championship frontrunners Michael Jepsen Jensen and Maciej Janowski have also been nominated for the FIM Rookie of the Year gong.
As this year’s junior series is yet to conclude, with the final rounds taking place in Argentina on Saturday and November 10, the rivals have been nominated jointly. But only the man who claims the World Under-21 prize at Bahia Blanca will be eligible to win.
Cast your votes for speedway’s finest via Facebook by clicking here: http://apps.facebook.com/my-polls/qjrflr. Or visit www.fim-live.com and click on the ‘Elect Your Champions’ link to be taken through to the Facebook poll.
Voting closes on November 16 and all fans who make their picks will be automatically entered into a draw to win some FIM prizes.
