THJ LEADS GDANSK CHARGE

Swedish international Tomas H Jonasson has confirmed he will lead Polish First Division club Gdansk’s promotion challenge in 2013.

06 / 12 / 2012, 12:17

Swedish international Tomas H Jonasson has confirmed he will lead Polish First Division club Gdansk’s promotion challenge in 2013.

The Vetlanda-born man turned down overtures from clubs hoping to keep him in the Ekstraliga following the coastal side’s relegation.

THJ is determined to lead Gdansk back up at the first attempt and says he will pen a deal soon.

A statement on his official website read: “Tomas has now verbally agreed to Gdansk. All that is missing is the ink on the paper!

“He has met the other guys on the team and is happy. Now it's just the really small stuff to be taken care of before he writes his name on the contract.

“It's another season in Gdansk for THJ and we look forward to it. Tomas thrives at the club and in the city and that guarantees a great season.”
