Birmingham have sealed a deal with British youngster Josh Auty for the 2013 season.

Auty will be in Brummies colours for a second successive Elite League campaign after playing his part in the club reaching the play-offs this term, and he gave the 2013 team his seal of approval.

He said: “The team is taking shape nicely and I’m delighted to be a part of it. I like it at Birmingham, Graham Drury and Phil Morris are great people to ride for and the fans are excellent.

“Hopefully we can go one better than last season and actually get to the play-off final!”

Brummies co-promoter Drury said: “He’s the type of rider our fans can relate to. They can see how hard he tries and that he wants to do well and it’s great to have him back for a second season.

“We had permission from Coventry at the end of last season to do a deal with him and we’re pleased to have everything concluded.”

Auty joins new signing Chris Harris, skipper Danny King and Nicolas Covatti in the Brummies side.
