Long-time speedway sponsors Moldow have expanded their involvement in the sport by becoming title sponsors of this year’s Danish FIM Speedway Grand Prix in Copenhagen on June 29.
The event, to be staged at the stunning PARKEN stadium, will now be known as the Moldow Danish FIM Speedway Grand Prix.
Moldow have sponsored triple world champion Nicki Pedersen since 2004 and have also purchased the naming rights to the Moldow Speedway Arena in Holsted, Denmark.
BSI Speedway managing director Paul Bellamy is delighted to have the turnkey supplier of filter and painting systems and industrial fans on board for the biggest speedway event staged on Danish shale.
"This year’s race in Copenhagen will be special for us, as it is our first year as title sponsor, and we hope that 2013 is the year Nicki gains the top spot at the Danish FIM Speedway Grand Prix."
- Preben Hansen
He said: “It’s great to have Moldow’s backing. They have been fantastic supporters of the sport for so many years and sponsoring this meeting is a natural progression for them.
“I’m pleased they recognise the benefits of being associated with the SGP series and increasing their involvement in speedway. I’m sure everyone from Moldow will have a great night at PARKEN in June.”
Moldow managing director Preben Hansen said: “We have raised our profile within speedway through sponsoring Nicki. This sport, and especially Nicki, is an excellent means to brand our company.
“We see this as a unique opportunity to raise the company’s profile even further, and Moldow’s brand will be exposed internationally as the race is transmitted worldwide via the many international TV stations.
“This year’s race in Copenhagen will be special for us, as it is our first year as title sponsor, and we hope that 2013 is the year Nicki gains the top spot at the Moldow Danish FIM Speedway Grand Prix. As the holder of the track record, he definitely knows how to ride the place.”
