Danish icon Nicki Pedersen has signed a fresh two-year contract with Super League giants Holsted and set his sights on bringing the title back to the Moldow Speedway Arena.

The triple world champion will spend his 12th straight season with the Tigers in 2014, where he has lifted the league championship three times.

After watching Esbjerg dominate the division for the past two seasons, Pedersen would love to wrestle to title back to Holsted.

Once you have tasted the gold medals, everything else doesn't quite taste as good, so of course we want to win the league again.

He told his official website: “It's an ambitious club and a superb track, and we have good sponsors locally, so I am well settled in Holsted.

"The club has ambitions to fight for the championship and that kind of ambitions fit in well with how I run my sport. Once you have tasted the gold medals, everything else doesn't quite taste as good, so of course we want to win the league again.”

Pedersen is joined at Holsted by Nicolai Klindt, Patrick Hougaard, Andrey Kudryashov, Adrian Gomolski and Rasmus Jensen.

Elsewhere, SGP star Greg Hancock will be part of Slangerup’s squad for 2014, along with this year’s SGP reserve Leon Madsen and World Under-21 finalist Mikkel Michelsen.

Former Grand Prix rider Antonio Lindback will race for Outrup, while 2012 Monster Energy FIM Speedway World Cup winner Mikkel Bech is back at Esbjerg.

Holstebro have signed Ukrainian hotshots Aleksandr Loktaev and Andrey Karpov, as well as Australian international Cameron Woodward. The Eastbourne rider will also line up for Indianerna in Sweden.
