GP Challenge winner Patryk Dudek powered to 11 paid 14 points as Dackarna claimed a 48-42 lead over Rospiggarna in the Swedish Elitserien play-off final, first leg in Malilla on Tuesday.

Slovak star Martin Vaculik was the only visiting rider to lower the Polish champion’s colours over five rides as Dackarna inflicted Rospiggarna’s first loss of the play-off series.

Peter Ljung also impressed for the hosts on 10 paid 11, while former world No.4 Rune Holta added eight and SGP star Maciej Janowski scored seven.

World Championship leader Jason Doyle and fellow Aussie international Max Fricke led the Rospiggarna scoring on eight paid nine points apiece. Vaculik scored a straight eight, while Jacob Thorssell tallied seven.

Swedish star Andreas Jonsson battled hard for five paid six points as he made his return from a broken collarbone.

The teams meet in Hallstavik on Wednesday for the second leg.
