Polish SGP star Piotr Pawlicki led the Lejonen charge on 12 points as they stunned Dackarna 46-44 in Malilla in the Swedish Elitserien on Tuesday.

The Lions made it two wins out of two after Pawlicki split Dackarna duo Patryk Dudek and Freddie Lindgren in heat 15.

Pawlicki picked up three victories in an impressive display for the Gislaved team, including three triumphs over World Championship leader and SGP form man Lindgren, who notched nine paid 10.

Last year’s World Under-21 Championship runner-up Krystian Pieszczek added eight paid nine for the visitors, while Hans Andersen scored a straight eight. Aussie racer Chris Holder picked up just five.

Dudek led the Dackarna scorechart on 11, but it was a tough night for his SGP compatriot Maciej Janowski, who recorded three paid four.

Elsewhere, Warsaw wild card Przemyslaw Pawlicki rattled off a 15-point maximum for Masarna as they beat Vetlanda 49-41 in Avesta. The Pole was well supported by 11 paid 12 from double world champion Tai Woffinden, while Antonio Lindback scored six.

Slovak star Martin Vaculik was Vetlanda’s lead scorer on 12, with Bartosz Zmarzlik bagging eight paid 10.

Aussie icon Jason Doyle piled up 14 points for Rospiggarna, but it wasn’t enough to rescue them from a 47-43 reversal at Indianerna.

Former Torun SGP winner Adrian Miedzinski starred for the Indians on 12 paid 13, with Piotr Protasiewicz adding eight paid nine and Kenneth Bjerre and Nicolai Klindt collecting seven paid eight each.

World Under-21 champion Max Fricke raced to eight paid nine for Rospiggarna, but it was a tough night for Swedish champion Andreas Jonsson, who scored just three paid four.

In the day’s other meeting, Smederna saw off Piraterna 46-43, courtesy of a 12-point haul from Grigorii Laguta and 10 from SGP star Matej Zagar.

Danish champion Niels-Kristian Iversen led the Pirates on 11 paid 12, while Emil Sayfutdinov accrued nine paid 10. World champion Greg Hancock registered only six points.
