WOZNIAK JOINS GORZOW

Polish champion Szymon Wozniak bids to build on his stellar 2017 season after completing a switch to Gorzow.

Polish champion Szymon Wozniak bids to build on his stellar 2017 season after completing a switch to Gorzow.

Wozniak makes the move from Wroclaw after a year which saw him help the club to the Ekstraliga play-off final and become the shock winner of the Polish Championship.

The rider is yet to sign his new contract as protests rumble on in Poland over new Ekstraliga rules, with riders unhappy over sponsorship restrictions.

But Wozniak says it didn’t take long to reach an agreement with the Edward Jancarz Stadium outfit.

He told Gorzow’s official website: "Gorzow presented me with his proposal after the season.

“I needed some time to decide. But I decided that I wanted to race in Gorzow. After my decision, the negotiations lasted less than dinner and we quickly came to an agreement.

“I believe Gorzow is a good place to take another step forward in my career.”
