ZAGAR SEALS LIONS DEAL

Slovenian star Matej Zagar has sealed a second season at Czestochowa after signing his 2018 contract.

12 / 11 / 2017, 12:37

Slovenian star Matej Zagar has sealed a second season at Czestochowa after signing his 2018 contract.

Zagar made no secret of the fact he was keen to stay with the Lions when the season ended, and he joins the likes of Leon Madsen, Andreas Jonsson and Adrian Miedzinski in their colours for next season.

Elsewhere, Wroclaw have recruited Russian sensation Gleb Chugunov following his Monster Energy FIM Speedway World Cup heroics in the summer.

Chugunov, born in Emil Sayfutdinov’s home city Salavat, made a huge impact as Russian reached the Monster Energy SWC Final, finishing third in Leszno.

The 19-year-old joins forces with the likes of SGP pair Maciej Janowski and Tai Woffinden at the Olympic Stadium next year.

But it’s likely he could face stiff competition for a place in the side, with rumours Wroclaw are in the market for 2016 World Under-21 champion Max Fricke following Rybnik’s relegation.
