Poole owner Matt Ford hopes Josh Grajczonek can bring his title-winning magic back to Wimborne Road as he returns for 2018.

The Aussie international is back with his parent club on a 7.34 average after starring for Somerset in their SGB Premiership debut season this year.

He joins former Aussie champion Brady Kurtz in the team. And having helped Pirates to Elite League glory in 2013 and 2014, as well as having a short-term stay in 2015, Ford is backing the Queenslander to star in their platinum jubilee year.

He said: "Josh's place in the team for our 70th anniversary season is another massive statement of intent.

"Alongside Brady Kurtz, I am expecting great things from Josh next year. He featured heavily in both 2013 and 2014 when we won the title so I'm hoping he can be another good omen for us 2018.

"He is extremely easy to work with, fits the Pirates mould perfectly and is a genuine heat leader who can play a key role as we look to claim a 10th top-flight title."
