Double world champion Tai Woffinden admits becoming a father has been “something wonderful” as he enjoys an unforgettable winter break.

The Brit’s wife Faye gave birth to their daughter Rylee Cru Woffinden on November 20 and Woffy has clearly enjoyed his first month of fatherhood.

Every parent knows the feeling that comes with moments like holding your child for the first time in your hands. It’s indescribable.

He told Sportowefakty.pl: “It's a great feeling. Having a child is something wonderful and I must admit that it is a great time for me.

“Every parent knows the feeling that comes with moments like holding your child for the first time in your hands. It’s indescribable.”

Woffinden did have to tear himself away from home briefly in the last week to visit Polish club Wroclaw as they unveiled their 2018 Ekstraliga team, where he rides alongside the likes of Maciej Janowski, Vaclav Milik, Andzejs Lebedevs, Max Fricke and Gleb Chugunov.

The 2013 and 2015 SGP title winner has competed for Wroclaw every year since 2013 and he’s settled at the Olympic Stadium.

He added: “Ever since I came to Wroclaw, I have felt great at the club, thanks to Andrzej Rusko and Krystyna Kloc. I do not have to change anything. I hope that the management and supporters will still be just as positive towards me. Then I will be happy to stay here in the coming years.

“It is a beautiful city. You can have a break here right after the match and go to the restaurant. I also have the right flight connections from the UK. From my home to the airport, it’s only eight minutes.”
