Monster Energy will continue to play a key role in the FIM Speedway World Championships after agreeing a new multi-year deal with rights holders BSI Speedway, an IMG company.

As well as continuing their role as presenting sponsor of the FIM Speedway Grand Prix series (SGP), Monster Energy will serve as title sponsor for the Monster Energy FIM Speedway of Nations, which launches in June.

We are extremely happy with the relationship that we have built with BSI Speedway over the last six years, and look forward to furthering the development of the sport and exposing more fans to our products.

Since joining forces with BSI Speedway in 2012, the iconic global energy drink brand has played a pivotal role in raising the sport’s profile worldwide, as well as bringing its unique style of entertainment and fan interaction to SGP and Monster Energy FIM Speedway World Cup fanzones.

Monster Energy attracts a host of athletes to SGP and Monster Energy SWC events to sample speedway, as well as offering speedway fans a taste of other motorsports such as FMX and trials action at SGP events.

Torben Olsen, vice president and managing director of BSI Speedway, is delighted to continue this crucial partnership.  He said: “We are extremely pleased to have Monster Energy on board once again for a further few years.

“We have had a fantastic partnership since 2012 and they have brought new levels of entertainment and support to the SGP and Monster Energy SWC series. Their passion and support for speedway is phenomenal and we look forward to the next few years working together.”

Joe Parsons, director of special marketing projects at Monster Energy, said: “Monster wants the speedway fan base to look at us as one of them and supporting their sport; as really authentically ingrained into speedway racing. We are extremely happy with the relationship that we have built with BSI Speedway over the last six years, and look forward to furthering the development of the sport and exposing more fans to our products.”
